Duck Blind Draw
DATE: Saturday, August 15th, 2026
TIME: 9:00am
LOCATION: Lake Carl Blackwell Park Office
This year's Duck Blind Draw is going to be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 15th, 2026. We have 50 locations where our hunters can set up their blinds. There is not a physical blind there that you are renting, it's just a sign on a piece of shoreline that we allow you if you're chosen and select a site to put a portable blind on or to park your boat and hunt from that for Ducks. We often have over 100 people attend the draw and with only 50 sites available it's good to make friends and see about sharing a site so that everyone can hunt. Not everyone is going to get a blind of their own. Cost is $100.00 due on the day of the drawing if selected. All blinds must be got to by boat as none are able to be walked into from shoreline. I have attached a map to this email for your review. West half of the lake they go in counterclockwise direction from 1-50.

Rules for Duck Blinds
1) Blind license holders have the right to the assigned blind from September 1, 2026, through March 1, 2027. Two guests are allowed in the presence of the license holder. No more than 3 hunters may be present in an assigned blind at any time.
2) All vehicles must always display either a daily or annual permit on OSU property or are subject to being ticketed. The license holder must carry the wallet permit always designating the assigned blind when hunting on OSU property.
3) Blinds must be set up within 25 yards left or right of the numbered blind marker. Blind may come towards the water from the marker as is needed to hunt.
4) All hunters must follow all Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Waterfowl rules and regulations.
5) The vehicle pulling the boat must display a valid boat permit, as well as the waterfowl hunting permit, or are subject to being ticketed. Annual Boat Permits are available today inside the office for $100.00 or you can use the honor boxes around the park for $10.00 per day.
6) All blinds must be removed no later than March 1, 2027. A clean-up fee will be charged to the registered blind holder if it becomes necessary for LCB Staff to remove a blind or clean up trash.
7) Access to blinds is required by boat. No use of 4-wheelers or driving vehicles along the shoreline is permitted. Anyone driving into their spots will be ticketed for trespassing and their duck blind location forfeited.
8) The land around Lake Carl Blackwell has many research projects ongoing which include crops, cattle, and native grass. To keep migratory bird hunting an option here at LCB, we need to abide by the rules and not park on county roads and walk across OSU research pastures.
