Lake Carl Blackwell is not an easy lake to fish. Patience and a willingness to get to know the lake is required for success. That does not mean fishing is not fun at LCB, it only means it's a challenge. Check out our enclosed fishing dock. State Fishing License and LCB Use Permit is required. Noodling is not allowed at Lake Carl Blackwell.
Fishing LicenseBoating
Half of Lake Carl Blackwell’s 3,350 acres of water are designated for skiing and the other half contains subsurface trees that remain from construction of the lake. While skiing on the west end is prohibited, the trees make for a great habitat for fish.
